An Interview with Gayla

Q: Why did you enter into ministry?

A: God told me to.  Long story short—the manger job came open and God kept putting the job on my heart so much that I knew without a doubt that I was to apply for it and then it was up to Him.

Q: What motivates you to work each day in God’s house?

A: The people I get to serve.  I meet so many different people and get to visit with them about so many different things.  I also love the staff here at CWC—the greatest people anywhere!

Q: Name some people (past or present) that have inspired or shaped your life?

A: My parents, Claudia Bolerjack, my husband, several former pastors, and many friends.

Q: What dream(s) do you have for the church?

A: For His Corner, I pray that many more people will be served by this ministry and I’m not just talking about buying a book, or gift or coffee.  I pray that people who come here find what they are searching for—Jesus.

Q: What do you do to relax?

A: Read, of course.  I also like to go on walks with Clayton and our dog, Copper.  Occasionally, we get to travel.

Q: What is your favorite ice cream?

A: Dark chocolate with raspberries mixed in from Marble Slab Creamery

Q: What web sites, magazines or blogs do you visit most often?

A: CBA retailers site, Carla Stewart’s web site and blog, Today’s Christian Woman magazine

Q: What do you hate most about church life?

A: Sometimes the long hours.

Q: What do your kids teach you about God?

A: When our kids were much younger, they would remind us when we had a difficult circumstance, to pray.  We had taught them that principle many times.  Now that they are older and have spouses, they still pray.  They try to seek God in all they do and encounter.  I am so thankful for our kids and how God has led them.
