An Interview with Jason

Q: Why did you enter into ministry?

A: I felt God calling me to use my God given talents to worship Him. Even though I had no idea how to do this, God lead me to CWC and began a new Ministry for both me and CWC.

Q: What motivates you to work each day in God’s house?

A: The joy I get out of seeing how God can use me to reach other people.

Q: Name some people (past or present) that have inspired or shaped your life?

A: A friend of mine named Randy Estelle who is a Christian pianist, my parents, college professors, and my grandfather who was an incredible witness in my life.

Q: What dream(s) do you have for the church?

A: To see the church as a whole, not just CWC, to reclaim what God has given to us. We have the greatest hope in the universe… It’s time to take a stand and reach out in everyway possible… Even if tat means doing “church” completely different.

Q: What do you do to relax?

A: Surf the web, play video games, spend time with family, go RV’ing

Q: What is your favorite ice cream?

A: Almost anything with the words ice and cream on the label. I really like Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, and enjoy trying all the new flavors.

Q: What web sites, magazines or blogs do you visit most often?

A: Google, Fox News, MSN, Hotmail, Ebay, and of obviously CWCperryton!

Q: What do you hate most about church life?

A: I do not believe we should hate anything, but my biggest dislike is people sitting back instead of getting involved. If we all used out talents to further the efforts of the church, there would be nothing to stop us!

Q: What do your kids teach you about God?

A: As I answer this, my son is turning three… When we adopted him, I wrote a blog explaining how I felt. It still holds true today. That blog stated this: When I look at Karter and watch him, it is amazing to me that he discovers something every day. He is always learning… and he has the faith that Heather and I are always going to be there to protect him. I think this is how God wants us to live. We should always be learning about the world He has created and about the calling He has placed on each of us. I also believe we need to have a true child like faith to believe the God is always there to protect us. Somewhere in our “intelligence” we forget that all we really need is to believe what God said is true.
